Care for Keir

When September rolls around, we will be at the 2 year mark of our 3 year campaign!
We would like to thank all the churches, groups, and individuals for helping us raise $18,707.17 to April 30th, 2010 in our “Care for Keir” campaign. In addition to this, we would like to thank the congregation of Freetown Presbyterian Church for suggesting some of the proceeds from the sale of their building be donated to this campaign, which amounted to $3,574.97.
Remember that at it’s meeting in October 2008, the Synod of the Atlantic provinces approved the motion to provide up to $25,000 over three years for capital improvements to Camp Keir, matching dollar-for-dollar contributions made in a capital fund-raising campaign within PEI Presbytery. This fund-raising campaign has been named “Care for Keir” – since all monies raised will go to care for the buildings and property.
Here’s how to help:
- Pray
- Include Camp Keir – Care for Keir as an item on the agenda of your annual congregational meeting. (If your congregation already supports Camp Keir, please put Care for Keir as a separate item so that the camp’s operating funds will not be reduced)
- Have a special event and/or offering specifically for Care for Keir.
- Encourage individuals to donate as well.
Please send all contributions to
Camp Keir

Camp Keir is your Camp! And the Committee appreciates all the support you have given over the years, and may we all look forward to many more years of ministry together.
